The 2006 "Outstanding Person of Compassion" award went to Bill Gates. Over all, people were impressed with Mr. Gates' commitment to the fields of global health and education. Plus, he has given nearly $30 billion in gifts during his lifetime. So, kudos to Bill Gates for promoting compassion, behaved compassionately and inspiring others to follow his lead!
