Information: Bio: Sarah Lyding serves as the Executive Director of The Sheri and Les Biller Family Foundation, which makes grants to Los Angeles-based programs in K-12 public education, career training and supportive care. Before joining the Foundation, Lyding was the Director of Development at Pasadena Playhouse and before that, served six years at Center Theatre Group as part of the fundraising team. Lyding’s commitment to volunteerism dates back to her youth, when she was involved with Assisteens (an auxiliary of Assistance League of Orange). As part of Assisteens, she dedicated at least one day a month to working with senior citizens in assisted living residences or to young people born to drug-addicted mothers at a special facility in Orange County. While attending school on California’s Central Coast, Lyding worked for Elderhostel, organizing educational activities for seniors. Besides her involvement with Century of Compassion, Lyding also serves on the board of Theatre @ Boston Court in Pasadena. Lyding received her B.A. in English at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Sarah joined the Board of Directors upon its formation on June 12, 2006. Sarah's favorite Volunteer Day was Assembling and Delivering Meals for HIV/AIDS patients with Project Angel Food (November 2008).
